Minotaur’s Tom Crooke in a London hit!

Our very own Tom Crooke (or Thomas Crookes as he is professionally known) took to the London stage last week in a brilliant performance of Polly Stenham’s ‘That Face’ with Mustardseed Theatre Company.

The intimate TARA Studios in Earlsfield, South London, played host to the gripping production that starred Tom as a teenager with a troubled relationship with his unstable mother.

The production garnered a 4-star review from Remote Goat, who said: “Emma Drysdale and Thomas Crookes in particular must be commended for the raw honesty and subversive energy behind their portrayals of troubled adolescents Mia and Henry.”

Minotaur members have been heaping praise on Tom via Facebook. Sarah Poppy Hiscox called his performance “majestical”, Sophie Benefer described it as “bloomin’ grand”, George Chandler said “bloody awesome”, and Suzy Gill said she was “literally awestruck”. Rhian Claydon called the performance “flawless”, Helen Kelleher dubbed it “sensational”, Shaun Kitchener said “phenomenal”, and Sam Saunders said “Loving your work Mr Crookes! You were absolutely amazing.”

With Minotaur Tom starred in James Ball’s production of Jim Cartwright’s ‘Road’, and Shorts including Roberta Morris’ ‘Bucket’.
