Creative Writing Slot
The Creative Writing slot is Minotaur’s annual show, built to showcase one amazing piece of student-written theatre. It currently sits in the calendar as our first show of the academic year. Every year students are given the opportunity to submit scripts, usually an hour in length, with one being chosen to be produced and ultimately performed in the UEA Drama Studio. Not only is this a brilliant opportunities for writers on the course to see their work put on stage, it also allows for Minotaur to show the quality and variety it offers year in year out. In recent years, 2024 saw ‘This Is Not A Drill’ by Joe McCloskey, a wonderfully twisted and horrifying play which left audiences stunned. Whereas only a year before the CWS introduced the world to the new comedy ‘Disco Dick’ by Charlotte D’Angelo, which went on to independently head to the Edinburgh Fringe! Scroll down for more…
